Lessons at COURSES

The First Tee of Lake County is located at several courses throughout Lake County. Each location offers different levels of programming based on experience. Levels are broken up into TARGET, PLAYer, PLAYer Plus, Par, High School, and Birdie. Target level are for participants ages 4 & 5 years old new to The First Tee. PLAYer participants are ages 6-9 years old new to The First Tee curriculum. PLAYer Plus are 10-12 year old participants with some experience with The First Tee and Golf. Participants must certify through a playing and written test enter the Par Level and be a minimum age 10 (based on coach’s recommendation). High School level are only for participants entering High School in the Fall. To achieve Birdie Level participants must certify out of Par and be a minimum age of 12 years old (based on coach’s recommendation). LPGA*USGA Girls Golf

We believe girls can do anything they set their minds to, which is why we can teach them more than just the game of golf, we inspire them for the game of life too. The “Five E’s” support our mission and give Girls Golf programs the opportunity to focus on teaching vital life skills that are specific to development for participants like developing confidence, finding their own voice, identifying their talents, and inspiring them to live active and healthy lifestyles. Teen Events

The First The of Lake County promote program and its benefits to other youth within and outside The First Tee of Lake County. Organize and manage the community service assistance of participants. Internships

The Ray Kenda Nine Core Values Leadership Award/Internship was established as a way to recognize our former Board Member Mr. Ray Kenda. This Award allows one high school student to opportunity to serve as an intern during the summer. They receive a stipend leadership training and valuable work experience to prepare them for life after High School.
